What Can I Expect at My Appointment?
A healthcare professional will ask questions such as your previous medical history, where you are staying, activities you will be doing and how long you will be staying abroad. You should get vaccinated at least 2 weeks before travelling and there is just one dose. You will be protected for 3 years, and then will require a booster after this if you are travelling to a high-risk area. You may experience some side effects after your vaccination such as a fever, fatigue and soreness at the injection site, but these should subside within a few days.
