Hepatitis A & B Vaccinations

We have a combination hepatitis A & B vaccination available alongside individual vaccines. This is ideal if you are travelling to places where you will be exposed to both illnesses such as parts of Asia, Eastern Europe, South America and parts of Africa.

What Can I Expect at My Appointment?

A healthcare professional will ask questions such as your previous medical history, where you are staying, activities you will be doing and how long you will be staying abroad. You should get vaccinated at least 5 weeks before travelling as you may need 3 or 4 doses before you travel but a clinician will discuss what dosage is best for you. You will be injected in the upper arm and may experience some common side effects such as slight pain or redness at the injection site, a headache and fever. These should subside within a few days.
