Vaccinations for diphtheria, tetanus and polio are administered in a single dose as there is no individual vaccination for each illness. You can contract these if you are travelling to; South Asia, parts of Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
What Can I Expect at My Appointment?
A healthcare professional will ask questions such as your previous medical history, where you are staying, activities you will be doing and how long you will be staying abroad. It is injected in the upper arm, and you may experience some side effects after such as feeling unwell or soreness at the injection site, but these should subside within a few days.
